Are Lanzar and Legacy crappyamps...

They are good...

If you are looking for a door stop...

So there is no confusion... That means they ****... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Long story short. Yes.
Legacy is MUCH worse than Lanzar.

nG
ya....lanzar has a few class D amps for subs that are worth the money and actually decent amps for the relativly not as exspensive price. thier vibe series and optidrives are good amps.

legacy, lanzar, plye, plye pro, and pyramid are all manufactured by "Sound Around" (brooklyn). essentially majority of the things they make are cheap crap. Lanzar makes many cheap things that sucks, but Lanzar's ratio of shitty to good products isnt as severe as the other brands. the rest ****.

if you want a decent sub amp, get a lanzar vibe 1200d. for the money u cant beat it unless u want to invest a bit more and get a better step up in quality. but for the budgeted mind, cant go wrong with that amp. the none class D vibe amps arent that great, but thier sub amp class D's are good.

From what I have seen, working on all the above brand amplifiers, they are all about the same, I would drop $$$ on a Lanzar before a pyramid though, and a probably even a BOSS before a pyramid.

Generally you get what you pay for. Some of the amps will put out good watts/dollar, and decent sound quality per dollar, but the durability of the amplifiers may not be very good. Especially for sub amp applications. Don't run them at 1 ohm for very long, you may be smelling some smoke....

I dont realy judge a amp by its brand, I judge by rms per dollar.

So I bought some cheap amps with a lanzer vibe for a $100 you might get 400-600 rms bridged, wich is a killer deal.

Compare that with kenwood $200 275-400rms bridged.

If your looking for power yo would go with lanzer if you looking for somthing that will take a beating go with a quality brand. I have a pyramid 1000 w max maybe 300 rms bridged I bought used, Which has been running for over 3 years pushing hx2. I blow a fuse once, The last few months I had it in my wifes car with 2 12" sony 200 rms each. So it took some abuse.

I had an old Lanzar Vibe amp...thing worked like a champ. Drove 2 JL12W3v2's for like 6 months no problem. Still is driving them (just not in my car) I think it was putting out either 800 or 1000 (or supposed to at least) and it sounded good

really good entry level amps

I would like some1 to do a comparison with one of the Opit drive amps against a better quality amp in the same power range and see what happens.
how bout u compare them to other amps of the same power rating AND same price range....the lanzar will probly come out on top. i mean if u wanna pay more for a higher quality amp ur gonna get better quality. but for the price range this is a solid amp. class D vibe series and the optidrive series.

durability? my old vibe 1200d survived abuse for along, long time. in fact not only did it take the abuse, it rarely ever got hot and did its rated power efficently...

ive seen these amps last along, long time. even if they are a lil short of doing rated power. they'll put out closer to rated power than almost any brand amp in this price range. more often then not brand is a distinguishing factor of the quality of the amp (durability, build integrity, efficency, any and all factors of how that amp will work in the long run). brand counts for alot of things. in this price range, lanzar has a few amps that are a great choice
