i really want an SQ sub setup. i want it to sound nice, and get decently loud. while my comp 12's get loud, my mother in law has a single 12" audiobahn (system installed by circuit city) that sounds so much better. the bass quality is top notch. its not as loud as mine, but sounds much better.

Its kicker's basic woofer. Not too loud, decent SQ. But comparing them to audiobahn is blasphemy.

Agreed, I dont hear too many ppl saying Kicker is known for Sq but Audiobahn sounding better is hard to believe.

With the comp's cone being molded the way it is (theres a reason for it) I doubt it is the speaker distorting, but the amp or HU making the signal ****.

hard to tell, two different cars, setups, pwoer, etc, anything could vary...but comps are the lower power line subs, and can sound good if powered/installed correctly.
