Are Caps Really Worthless?!?

Ive read on numerous forums that caps are ACTUALLY worthless. Is this true?? I know it's better to get a big battery/multiple batteries and a HO alternator. Do you think I could get away with running a stock 110 amp alternator in a 2000 Ford Focus with a upgraded battery, not deep cycle though, and a 20ish farad cap and get 2500-3000 watts from an amplifier?? I don't think its possible, but could i get some opinions about this. And also exactly what a cap does. Thx : )

caps are useless and there is no way your gonna run 3kw on anything close to a stock electrical

There are many threads about caps. If you search you will find the full answer. For the sake of what you are trying to do, a cap will do no good. And I wouldnt recommend running 3000 watts off of one battery.

a cap stores power and releases it on demand... a bunch of electronic devices have them... would i run 3000 watts off a cap? NOT I!!

switch your batt to a good deep cycle and add 1 to the back

and a battery is usaully is just as much as a cap, even less if you compare it to one of those gayness 20 farad or whatever caps
