Are 4 JL 500/1 better than 2 JL 1000/1?

I currently have 4 JL Audio 500/1 but I want to know if 4 are better then 2 JL Audio 1000/1? What kind of subwoofers can hold these amplifiers?

If your going to get 2 jl 1000/1 just get a crossfire vr2000d it will pound and be much cheaper on ur wallet.

I dont see how you would gain any output. but if ya wanna try. go for it

4 amps is going to be stronger than 2 amps, if they put out the same power.

And there is a buncha subs that could hold them amps.

All about what they are pushing, 2 amps=ability to wire lower ohms compared to 4, but I would personally rather have 1/4 of my amps mess up than 1/2 if one blew or something. Do what you want. You could probably get more for the 4 amps if you wanted to sell them.

i would probably do the trade if i wanted to cut down on the room and wiring.

IMO 2 > 4. More effort, space, supplies needed to install 4 amps.
