Arc Kar 10d and RF 60ix

I have an Arc Audio 10d dual 4 ohm voice coil sub. I want to hook this to a punch 60ix. If I bridge the two channels of the amp and run the dual voice coils in parallel, what load will the amp see? 2 ohm or 4 ohm because two channels are bridged?

When I bridge two channels to a two channel amp, does change the minimum resistance the amp can handle. I dont think the punch 60ix can handle a 2 ohm bridged load.

Thanks for the reply, I think I will wire it that way until I can get another amp. I don't listen that loud any more, I just want well defined bass.

The Punch 60 will be just fine @ 2ohm. My good friend ran 2 10" d4 compVR's in parallel on a punch 60IX, bridged, no problems, daily for over a year. That's either 1ohm or .5ohms depending on how you consider the briding to effect the load the amplifier sees //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif It was a big joke to mention how the 2 10's were running on a 60w amp...people used to about shit themselves when informed. Of course, when running that low it's not really pushing 60w //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I myself pushed a newer kicker CVR d4 10" bridged and both coils wired in parallel without damaging the amplifier whatsoever. My mids/highs amp overheats but the punch 60 never did...swapped it out for a punch 100, which pulls in excess of 40a input at times only pushing 1 12w6, outputting over 250w. Thats a d6, 3ohm load.

I knew the old RF Punch45 could drive the low resistance but was not sure about the 60ix. Should be enough for now.
