Copper would be perfect for that power and is what DJ would recommend. You threw 2500 watts on just one alone? I was gonna run 2 18"s HDC3's off a Sundown 3000d at .05 on good electrical. So each sub should see right around 1800-2200 watts.
1k...but they'll take plenty more. Call DJ and talk to him about the HDC's as he's a wealth of knowledge and cool ass guy to talk to. He rates them low because he knows most "kids" will either throw a clipped signal at them or double the RMS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifWhat is the actual RMS rating for the HDC3's?
Maybe you should turn the volume down then and reset your gain to where they don't start to smell? Not to sound like a dick, but these threads are really pointless because nobody in this thread can tell you exactly how and where every knob on your amp should be set to without working on the setup in person. All that it takes is some common sense. The thing is I dont wanna run them if there gonna start to smell after 5 min. For example I give my Bl's 1500 watts ALL day long and they NEVER smell. I can play them song after song after song no matter what song or frequncies never get smelly.
more then you have to offer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Now go listen to your weak ass kickers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gifhow much can the hd3s take?
Well I want to give them the full amount of clean signal I can get out of my amp. Nothing wrong with wanting to push your subs all day daily at full tilt and not have them smelly. Like I said my Fi Bl's take 1500 watts all day long. I know its perfect. Then will have a VERY slight smell after maybe like 10 songs.Maybe you should turn the volume down then and reset your gain to where they don't start to smell? 1k? **** thats pretty low. If DJ is so confident of there powering handling and people throw 2k plus watts to there 1 sub maybe like a 1500 watt rating is more appropriate?1k...but they'll take plenty more. i am tring to run 1 hd315 of my massivep3000.0Yes on 1 alone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The AQ's are nice subs man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Even Btdickey threw a Orion 2500D at 1 15'' as well..
Well the average 10 seconds or so switching songs but yes the Bl's can handle the 1500 watts easily my volts even drop to like 11.8Then will have a VERY slight smell after maybe like 10 songs.
lol that's what 30mins at 1500 watts straight.
kicker is ok . dont let some one tell you other wiseThen will have a VERY slight smell after maybe like 10 songs.
lol that's what 30mins at 1500 watts straight.
