Would 2.3cuft @ 29hz be alright for this sub?

I would do 2.5 @ 36 with 40in^2 port

This was my box plan:

(Zoom in on the picture to read it better) Should I have the port facing the front of the truck? Or would it be better to have it facing towards the ceiling? Or does it not really matter? Sorry for all these noob questions. I'm just tossing around the idea of building another box and I want this one to be a lot better than my other one so I'm trying to ask as many questions before hand.

I've had the best luck in my extended cab facing the subs up and the port firing sideways into the corner. People also seem to like subs forward and port up. Your picture looks good but I would put it on the passenger side, with the port closest to the side wall. It will be loudest on the driver side that way.

I've heard they like higher tunning but I have no experience with the HDC3 sub line. My choice would be 2.3 @ 32-35 hz. There's really no need to tune that low @ 29, 32-35 will still dominate the lows

I would tune to 35, that's just me. My SDC10 was tuned to 40 and it was disappointing on the low notes.
