APMI-2000 running @ .5ohm? Anyone tried it

Has any tried running an APMI-2000 with a .5ohm load? Like a dummy, I bought 2 used D2 subs, only options are 2ohm or .5ohm. I am hoping that with box rise, it will probably come in closer to 1ohm (exactly where I need to be). I know bigblank did some testing on this amp, did you happen to see how it did @ .5?

Supplying power won't be an issue. I've got a 300A alt, big 3, and 1000a AGM.

The apcle-1800 did 2965 dynamically . He did not test .5 on the apmi 2000.

Holy *****, 370A drawn on the .5ohm load, that's a lot of current. Screw it, this amp is only $170. I'll run it at .5ohm and see what happens.

i wouldn't but wtf.. set gain low man., what would 2k at .5 ohm be?, 22.3volts maybe idk

The older apsm 1500 did great at .5ohm with good electrical

I wouldn’t hesitate to run at .5 just don’t clip to death

It is going to come down to impedance rise. I know someone who ran a AP amp at .5 for about a year with no problems. Then he decided to change boxes. Amp died two days later.
