Hey guys the other day my subs started sounding funny and cutting out. When I got back there the sub was making a scratching noise i went ahead and removed the one i though was doing it and it was still getting power but when i pushed it down it made a scratching/squeaking noise as if it was cone rub. It is only the one, my other sub is fine. Is it worth to recone it? Will it sound just as good if not better than before. Or would I be better off selling it and getting something new?

Let me know

Thanks!

what are your suggestions in terms of "upgrading" i think im just gonna run the one for now and maybe later get another one or just bang this one out until it breaks.

Time to move up, brother. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

SSA, Sundown, Incriminator Audio, DC, Fi, American Bass, there are a whole buncha' woofers out there to choose from. Try leaving the mainstream stuff like Kicker, Alpine, Pioneer, stuff like that. You'll be amazed what's out there.

I think what im going to do for now is try to find a nice single 12 box and bang out. When and if that fails then i will consider upgrading.
