well i guess its a good thing i just picked up a new shwaby batt i was just looking for a place to put it today... bad note. just installed a new 4g wire kit, went from 8g to 4g lol now 1/0 owell i feel better about buying amp now. i was gonna toss it right in garbage if it was 16v rms ratings. still not "happy" about purchase. next time im just gonna spend the money, save the headach. THANKS EVERYONE!!!
i just picked up the ap15001d a few weeks ago for a different sub set (pg octain r12d x2) so i guess my actual question is. does this particular amp need 16v to run 1500w @ 1 ohmmy new sub is 2ohm min so it'd be 900w
Nah, most amps are rated at 14.4v. Rarely do manufacturers rate their amps at 16v because most (not all) don't support that high of a voltage for their warranty.
