anyone with alpine cda-9815? help!

hey guys i need some help tuning my cd player. the functions on it are cross over and bass focus and customize your EQ.... the only thing is i can not eliminate the bass from my speakers.

i would like to completely if not mostly remove the bass from my 6X9's and have all my bass go to my woofers.

i did this with my old apline.... it has the bass-sub-treble functions and was much easier.

anyone else had this prob?

use the crossovers, follow the manual. Set the crossover's at HP 80Hz, should be all good.

i tried that but for the x-over all it has is

rear

front

and low

i am just trying to eliminate more bass because when i hit digits like 25-27 and up, it gets distorted

front = crossover for the front speakers.

rear = crossover for rear speakers.

low = crossover for subs.

Is the distortion coming from your speakers or your sub?

Make sure the crossover slope is on. 0=full range, 1=6db slope, 2=12db slope, 3=18dv slope, and 4=24db slope. If the value is 0, no matter what frequency you have it set at, it will still play full range.

I know you're interested in the EQ, but the crossover is going to eliminate the harmful frequencies your 6x9's can't play.
