anyone with a ps3 bought Socom Confrontation?

is this game any good? compared to call of duty 4?

to me it looks like a good game and it is only 40 bucks brand new.. I might pick this game up beginning of next month..

I just got my first PS3 game after having the console for 6 months soley for BR playback. Picked up MGS4 and must say the gameplay/graphics are nice but all of the cut scenes piss me off. Feel like I'm playing a movie rather than a game.

Socom is awesome! Socom II was the greatest 3 sucked and i never got the chance to play 1. As long as no one uses codes to cheat and shit im sure it will be amazing!

I played beta, and the ish was weak.

Its gonna be hard to beat COD4

buddy of mine has it. played it over at his house a couple weeks ago. took 20 mins to connect to a game and then it timed out several times

that would be the beta which had alot of issues. They fixed most if not all in the regular game. Its a good game for sure, and for 20 bucks more you get the offical PS3 bluetooth headset.

i played it for the first time yesterday at my friends

coming from playing s1, s2 ALOT

this game isn't where its supposed to be

maybe with a few updates (may take 2months to get to where i want it)

Cons (vs s2 gameplay):

slower gameplay #1 (I'm used to a faster pace)

- maybe its just because people are that good yet(lots of campers, just wait for you to come, they never move)

slow controls

LAG(known already)

and running with rockets, wth?

on a plus side, the graphics are amazing, realistic.

i see the brought back the gun selections/style from s3, its alright but i like s2s version better.

more places to hide, better stealth

map selection

overall, its worth buying when the lag is fixed.

if you can deal with it, then go ahead and buy it

No, its 40 bucks if you buy the game by itself. and its 60 bucks for the game with the headset. Seen both at walmart
