After all the Barry Bonds crap about being brought up on perjury charges...why would Clemens lie to Congress and risk going through all this crap for years to come?
I personally think he's innocent...too much of McNamee's verbage is full of lies...he's been admitting to Congress all morning that he's been lying.

I would like to think that when someone is this adamant about their innocence that they really are.

For those of you that don't like roger and think he's a lying tool...what do you like about McNamee that gives him so much credibility?

Yeah I totally agree with your post. If it was just Clemens vs. McNamee then I would definitely go with Clemens. The thing that baffles me is that Pettite confessed to having a conversation with Clemens about taking HGH.

Well you and I just shared a post about using HGH....does that mean we used it?

Hell, I talk about shit I'm never going to do all the time...I'm sure EVERYBODY does.

What irks me is all the people screaming clemens is guilty just because they don't like him...nevermind the fact that he hasn't tested positive or had video evidence brought forward on anything.

HGH cannot be detected by their tests.

Don't you find it a little odd that Clemens is the ONLY player that is denying what McNamee said? That Knoblauch and Pettitte both said that McNamee shot them up? That Pettitte said that Clemens told him he's taken HGH before?

No, Pettite said that he talked to Clemens about Clemens using HGH. As, he already did it and they were talking about it. That's why I said it baffles me.

Yeah there are too many people who decided Clemens was guilty as soon as the story came out just because they don't like him.

No I don't really find it odd...any of those other players a real superstar like Roger? What I really find hard to believe is that roger is the only "real name" on that list...sure Pettitte is a very good pitcher, but he's not in Clemens' league and neither is anybody else on that list.

What I really want to know is how many of these people ready to lynch clemens know the first thing about steroids? I know quite a bit about them (having taken them before when I was younger and into body building)...if McNamee injected him like he says he did then he'd have had to inject him countless times...injecting once a month or so won't do a **** thing for you, would be a complete waste of time and money...you take it in cycles, not just when you feel like you want to get bigger for the day.

There are plenty of big name players in the report- Lenny Dykstra, Pettitte, Eric Gagne, Kevin Brown, Todd Hundley, David Justice, Paul LoDuca, Miguel Tejada, Mo Vaughn, Troy Glaus...were/are all well-known players, many of whom were/are all stars at one point in their careers.

Yeah Clemens was contradicting himself a little bit as well. I really dont know what to think. You have to realize that McNamee has had as many people discredit him as people who backed him.

4 guys out of the ones you mentioned are even worth mentioning....the rest had maybe a good year or two.

I just think that with all the effort he is going through (a lot more than Bonds sure has) that he is innocent...he saw what bonds went through and how he handled it and now he's handling it completely different.

Clemens stats show that there have been ups and downs his whole career...unlike someone like Bonds, Sosa, or Brady Anderson who had an 50% increase in power overnight.

If you go by wins & losses and all that so late in his career then you have to say Schilling has done roids too because his career has been better the past 6 years than anytime during his career (since that's what people are using as a basis for Clemens' alleged steroid use.
