im getting this amp to power my pioneer 6x8 door speakers. I already have an amp for my subs. Can i make the ground for the new amp the same spot my current amp is grounded to? Like have them both screwed into the same place? If that makes any sense. Also, for the RCA's do i plug the front RCAs into the HU and then the rear RCA's from the new amp to my current amp?

Clarion XR2410 400W, XR Series 4-Channel Amplifier

If it is in fact a good ground (bare metal) etc, then you should be fine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Ok cool. Im sure its a good ground. Looks like bare metal and an audio shop did for me before i knew how dumb it is to pay shops for installs. But for the RCA's, the picture of the amp on the website shows front RCA inputs, and Rear RCA inputs. So do i plug the front RCA's into the back of the HU and the rear RCA's go from the clarion amp to the sub amp?

That should work then hook up the speakers

Ok thanks guys. Also for the powerwire. I just run it to the battery also? So two amps on the same battery? Both screwed into the positive terminal right on top of eachother?

ok cool cool one more question, for the remote wire do you wire them both into the back of the HU or what?
Since your not trying to turn on a lot of equipment then yes you can. If you think later on you will add to it...I usually tie the remote to a relay to handle the current. You should be okay.

ok i should be good then. How much louder will my speakers be after this? Cuz my 2 12's on 1500 rms just drown everything else out atm....

Ok so i hear i should upgrade the speaker wire on my door speakers? Is this worth doing or can i just use the factory speaker wire?

60 amps of fusing x 12.5 volts = 750watts take away for efficiency. It should be decent enough //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Edit: Ohm Load as well..

Wait! i got one more question lmao then im done. Ok so the amp puts out 60rms across 4 channels. Does this mean i need wiring that can run 60rms so like 12 gauge? Or do i add up all the channels im using (60x4=240rms)? So i would need the wiring to be able to run 240 rms?

I would buy the best wire you are willing to pay for. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
