anyone used a subwoofer "guard"

More form over function grills imo.
This caught my eye. it got good reviews. But if you search 12" speaker grill, one guy sais that his 70 pound dog can stand on it so that might be up your alley. But this one got some good reviewshttp://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=260-374
I agree a waffle grill will be stronger at resisting heavy objects.
 
hmmm toooo many things to take in at once haha no seriously guys thanks for all your input, you are making my decision to buy a grill a little more easy

 
I think the steel grill i showed you would work best as the bar grill would only protect from certain things. my friend got his subs puntured by his tire iron lol. But anyways i guess when you buy the grill i showed you you have to buy the mounts for it. But i think one of the grills comes with the mounts so look out
