anyone use those mp3 to ringtone programs

I also have the motorola phone tools, awesome program, but depending on the type of phone you have, you may be able to use the mp3 clips as ringtones without having to convert them. Also if you have a phone that has Bluetooth on it you can get a bluetooth "dongle"( I think thats what theyre called) and transfer the pics, music over to your phone wirelessely(sp?) If you need to change the file type, probably going to be a midi, lemme know and I can hook you up with a website where you can download the stuff for free after becoming a member and becoming a member is free, lemme know---Dinty

i dont think my phone is not mp3 ready, it doesn't have on eof those mp3 players on it. its the razr v3, not the new one. but it does have the blue tooth, so would something like this work for my phone? i heard of people transferring it via the blue tooth, but i would have no idea how to do it.

well, it depends, I also have a razr, a black one through cingular and it doesnt have an mp3 player but you can use mp3's as ringtones, its easy to do once ya get the hang of it, lemme find an old post i made and ill post it up for ya. . . . brb

I cant find it but, its easy to do, youll need to insert the bluetooth thing and link it with your phone, its easy, it volves the bluetooth thing sending a set of numbers to your phone to confirm what it is communicating with and you send that back to the comp and you should be ready to go(there may be a few more steps in there but I havent done it for awhile) then once you make the mp3, save it to your desktop, and insert the bluetooth thing into a usb drive(assuming it isnt there, but its ok if it is from setting it up), wait for it to set itself up and once its ready just right click on the mp3 tone, select send to device via bluetooth, a window pops up and you select your phone and then hit next and open your phone and select accept and its loads it then will play the tone and you can do several things, store it, store it and make it your current ringer, delete it and something else but thats about it, if you have any questions feel free to send me a pm about it and Ill try to help ya out with it, loemme know how it goes---Dinty

ok, i need to get the blue tooth headset. but one more quick question, can you use any mp3? and can i rip the mp3 up, so that it only uses like 30 seconds of it, then transfer it? i just dont think i have a large memory card on this phone, 128mb iirc.

If you want the best, download Magix Ringtone Maker, it can be found online but is easily the best for features. You can even make video ringtones on it, pretty slick. Lots of different output formats and compression settings to, but very easy to use.

i tranfer mps to my razr all the time

I have a new sgh-d807 and I can't figure out how to get the mp3's to my phone. I think there may actually be a block from letting me send them to it. Im using a program that was posted up a week or so back called Audcity to shorten the songs to about 25 seconds. Then when I try and send the file, it says it deleted some content (the mp3) because it was either too large or couldnt read the format. I know its not too big because its only half the size of the file size limit. Anyone else who has the phone know of ways to get the music to it?

get mobile phone tools, i didnt know u had a razr also. I have a first gen silver one. The program is like 30 bucks on ebay (maybe cheaper now). It lets u take the song section what u want out of and re-save it as a .mp3 which u transfer to ur phone. The cord to transfer came with mine, u dont need the blue tooth hook up

easy way that i do is chop up the song u want to around 1mb or under 30sec with absolute mp3 splitter, which is free. then just take the clip and email it to ur phone. i know verizon's is yournumber@vzwpix.com and u can save as ringtone not sure about other companies but this works with verizon
