Anyone use their iPhone 3g/3gs connected to their hu?

Nope. They WONT charge an Iphone or an Ipod Touch. Trust me. I know these things.

ipod touch 2nd gen - charged

ipod 3rd gen - charged

Units used

Avic D3, Pionner Z2, Pioneer Z3, Kenwood 8120, Kenwood 9140, Eclipse 5510, Eclipse 6620, Panasonic strada and alot of new Pioneer units

just cuz your one unit wouldn't charge your ipod/iphone, that doesn't mean that all of the units wont charge

Thanks, but I've been schooled already and I already stated that NONE of my friends H/U's would charge them. I'm not even going to list the makes and models of them, bc I honestly couldnt tell you all of them.

i know you admitted to being wrong but let me add fuel to the fire. my kenwood x993 works flawlessly with my 3g, both connected via the supplied cord (charges) or streaming bt (no charge).
