Anyone use the Treo 1500.1?

I recently bought one and was told that it is capable of producing 3000@1ohm on the proper electrical system.I using a deka g31up front and a Kinetik 200 in the rear with a 275 smp alt and 2 runs of 1/0.

I am just curious if the clip signal light can actually be used to set the gains?And if not, what amount of power should I be looking for when setting my gains with a DMM.

sure you can use the clipped signal light, but even then it might be too much power for your sub if the amp is underrated. I wouldn't use it. And look for 3000

why cant people do this by ear anymore? I've set every gain on every amp I've had in the last 7 years by ear and have had zero issues.

never used one but i would like to have one it would go perfect with my csx 15..but no $ at the moment heard alot of good thing about them tho

Thanks for the input.I guess I will go ahead and set the gains with my DMM.Play it and see if I have any proplems with the clipped signal light, If I do I guess I will just back it off.

I use to do that myself aswell.But I use a member on this forum(whats like the BONER sub now?), and the peeps here told the "right" way to do things.Honesly if I had the money Id be buyin me a scope.
