Anyone tried the circut breakers instead of fuse blocks ?

XP81 Xpress 130A AMP Circuit Breaker Fuse 12 Volt Distribution Block CAR Audio | eBay
used a few things like this, higher amps tho......... even under the hood they'd just go off for no reason, changed them to fuses and we didn't have a problem.... twas an idea from the customer because he kept blowing ANL fuses and claimed it was too hard for him to change them, so he asked us to put the breakers in, had them in for about 2 weeks and came in and got us to change them back :p

well that is a cheap poorly made unit. I pay 3 times that for a 150 amp breaker from my distributor thats like using fisher price hammer on constrction job not the right part. I use Xscorpion breakers the only thing I have an issue withis they are open to weather issues if not addressed during install. Im using a 250 amp cb feeding a tsunami distro with ANL fuses at rear only time it trips is when i push the buttton. You are correct that they become weaker over time fromtripping due to overcurrent but in tat case there is an underlying issue that is overlooked or else it wouldnt keep tripping. Maybe you should pick up a copy of the N.E.C. AKA National Electrical Code. Althoug not specifically addresses automotive the theory begind the sizing is the same. $ gauge wire is not suitable for 100 amps for 1 no matter what they print on the label

my issue with circuit breakers for car audio is their construction. too cheap for what they are trying to do. but i'm used to large frame breakers that are predictable and reliable but much more expensive (like Square D, GE, Eaton, etc).

I love breakers for their ease of use and ability to reset without have to change fuses. As long as they are not cheapo hunks of crap they can be really reliable. If going for 0ga power wire check out the stinger CB's they have direct 0ga inputs.

Anyone tried the circut breakers instead of fuse blocks ? They are alot smaller and running out of places to put the fuse blocks under the hood as they are so big
I've used one and it is nice but I won't ever use one again after I fried my amp and the breaker didn't even pop. User error as far as why it happened but still the breaker didn't do its job so I don't trust them

I've used that one for quite a while I mean a few months never had it accidentally flip like others are saying..I've had it work like its supposed to as well but whenit REALLY mattered it failed me where a fuse surly would have saved my asss
