For instance ACT's are coming up and I will be on adderall.

I was reluctant to take any medication for my "disorder" but considering I am 31 years old and still have issues symtomatic of my original diagnosis, i though what the hell!!

I have only been using it for about 5 days now. It is not speedy and i cant not feel it pumping through my body like the amphadamine based drugs but it is a "bit" speedy. I am supposed to take it at bedtime and have had a hard time going to sleep if i took it too early or problems staying asleep if i took it too late. In the morning i feel pretty lousy but dont know if this is a direct effect of the drug or a combnation effect considering i drink too much and usually have between 2 and 4 drinks nightly before bed and before i would take the drug.

I have not noticed any tangible results yet however i am on the minimum dosage and was told by my physician that it could take up to one month for any results to be evident.

i took adderall for 7-8 years. i started doing it when i was about 6-7, and stopped taking it in 8th grade. i got REALY tired of the nasty side effect of insomnia. i realy don't need it to pay attention anymore, the only time i have problems is when i don't get a lot of sleep.

that is how my primary physician (cardiologist) ordered it. She said due to possible side effects such as upset stomach and other gastrointestinal issues this is how she usually prescribes it.

Gotcha. I'll have to wait till i see my psychiatrist to get more info. I'm really sick of getting tics and having a racing heart all the time.
