Anyone sick of installing car stereos for your friends?

i love installing too but i get sick of ppl who want prime rib and wanna pay jr whopper prices
tell me about it...50$ and you need subs, amp, box, wires etc...and you expect it to be as loud as my car and sound as good..lol

I like to help my friends, and I know they don't have much money. As long as they listen to my advice and use their budget wisely I will help. I wont' install worthless gear like pyle, boss, etc. I won't install subs only. If they don't want to at least upgrade to coaxials upfront, then they are on their own. I'm not putting another boom-boom machine on the road that has nothing to do with music.

I like to help my friends but I hate when they argue with me. Don't ask me the question if you think you already know the answer. I will help them install if they will let me help them from the start. In selecting equipment and everything.

It makes me want to just go off on them. I have a couple of friends like that.

I don't install other peoples stuff, but it is retarded when people ask "What da hell you got in the inside?" I tell them speakers and tweeters hooked to an amp and they give me the stupid look, like mids can't be hooked to an amp. Also the people who keep the stock mids, but buy like 3 12's and a bunch of ebay tweeters -__-, all you hear is 40-100hz and 5,000hz+ which is clearly missing most of the fkn spectrum

I try to explain that vocals don't come from .5 inch tweeters, but once again I get the stupid look

I'd rather help them than let them walk into a shop with all their ebay crap and expect the shop to install it for cheap. I have to explain how ****** and insulting that is to the shop and if I was them I would charge you up the *** for that, with no warranty, or tell you to go pound sand. I'd rather teach them to do it themselves, and then they learn to appriceate a good install, and why it's worth the price.
