Anyone sick of installing car stereos for your friends?

Don't get me wrong I like my friends but most of them are retarded when it comes to stereo equipment and are cheap bastards. So you spent your time finding all the good deals and installing it in their car but they either don't like it(because they bought cheap crap) or they think you did something wrong because it isn't loud enough or something. Also since they're your friends they feel they have the right to complain and this and that.

Anyone feel me? I'm keeping this hobby to myself from now on and they can go get ripped off at the local shop for all I care.

amen to that...my cuz been tryna put subs in for a wile..i could have got him GREAT stuff for $500...he said he dun wanna spend that much...he said 200-300 is his budget...FOR A HEADUNIT, WIRES, BOX, AMP, SUBS, INSTALLATION STUFF...c'mon....nvr gonna happen and get QUALITY stuff

I love installing when customers are ok with paying for it. But most times peoples likamp need a amp and installation budget is $100 and I need all the wires I want 1000 watts I am like no.

I know what you mean, a kid I knew in high school bought two 15" L7's (not terrible) but then got a "2000w" (lulz) Legacy Amp that was bright orange with fangs on it. We hooked it up and it sounded like ***. I told him the amp was **** and several days later he told me I wired the subs wrong or some **** and it sounds better now...I just said whatever, and my policy now is, I'll only help with your install if you listen to me when choosing equipment. I don't want to be involved if I know the outcome is going to be bad.

I have a friend who told me his subs that I installed got "much" louder when he switched the crossover on the amp to full range.

I wanted to shoot myself after hearing that.

i love when some one listens to my system that has only 2-10's and they are like wow thats sick can you make my car sound like that, i have like $150 to spend. i just laugh and tell them i have more than that invested in power wire.

exactly... drop the car off, you can stay or you can go but i'm going to do things my way and i'll get done when i get done.

Not insulting any shop owners on here, but the shops where i live ****, i don't get alot of "will you install my stuff for me" i get "well i went to this place XXXXX that you told me not to go to and now nothing works... can you fix it?"
