Anyone repair woofers?

I own a 10 type R. It quit working and i had it tested and the dude told me the tinsil leads are disconnected. I had my buddy take it apart and he is afraid of getting under the orange "mesh like" stuff under the cone. That is where the tinsel leads are......anybody mess with inside of speakers?

just buy a new one, they are cheap. You can solder the tinsels if you can get to it but if they are under the spider (the yellow mesh) the only way to get to them is rip out the spider.
