How to tune your system......starting with basic crossover tutorials, etc...i have a pair of ADS components and am getting too much bass through them. What should i set the crossover that came with them at -3, 0, or +3 (i think thats what they say)........Ive got the headunit bass crossed at 80 hz.....or could it be the amp is under powering them...im running a PPI art a300, ADS comp set is 346cs. set it at -3 and hpf set to 90 if you are getting to much bass, lpf set around 1.25 khz.

sorry, im a noob, so the seperate x-ove at -3 and the headunit at 90? i have an older alpine HU an i think it has 80 120 and 200...i think the treble setting one the hu are something like 12.5, 17...or something like that...would a better HU do better or like a 30 band EQ....how does the 30 band EQ come into play....or will it "act" like a crossover. Thanks for th help.
