I deal with my customers personally, I am a representitive for Re, Stillwater, Autotek, and others because I am an authorized dealer for these companies. The reason "other companies" dont really deal with customers on a personal level is because they have dealers. Thats part of what dealer networks are for. If a customer in my town (Tifton, Ga) has a problem with a RE sub, what do you think would be easier for them, to e-mail RE or to come back to my store and let me resolve the problem face to face. All of this is why things are diffrent and better for most people when the product they buy is backed by a dealer. It increases prices some but it is worth it to most people.

Agreed, but not all dealers are worth a ****, and also there aren't dealers everywhere. For instance, my local kicker dealer does not sell CVXs or SoloXs nor will the order them. Now I am forced to search the internet for the products. If the sold direct, I have an opportunity to purchase any and all of a company's products. Dealers take a lot of pressure off of the manufacturer, but they are not without faults...

I know a few of us have wanted the specs and some pics. Here is a post scott from fi made on another forum hope this helps.

OK...

Since the site is not rolling with all the updates yet, Ill simply post info here for now. If we have enough people wanting to buy them now Ill simply up an email For the new BL Series Inquiries and orders.

Standard sub comes with a round wire aluminum coil, rated at 1000W RMS. You can up the thermal capacity by adding the flatwind coils, pole chamfer, and full cooling.

You will also have a choice of either the "Daily" or tighter "SPL" tolerences as well as the option for the extra heavy leadwires (as used on the BTL’s) Although I would add the caveat that they should be reserved might be reserved for SPL only as they can be noiser for daily driving purposes. Xmax is 21mm

Options:

Daily, SPL, or Universal* - no charge (Dont use the SPL for daily)

$20 Flatwind (D1 and D2)

$10 Pole Chamfer

$40 Full Cooling (pole chamfer included in this price)

$5 Heavy Leadwire (But not recommended for daily)

* The UNIVERSAL motor option is a new one that will be added to the BTL series as well. With this option, we machine the motor for a daily pole tolerence plus the gap is machined for the largest OD coil that we use. With this, you can swap in any of the coils designed to be used in the BL motor. Please note that if you do get this option with the stock aluminum round wire coils that you will be giving up some motor strength... but you will have the option to upgrade to a larger flatwind coil at a later date. With out this selection, your motor will be machined for the specific coil chosen... while in some cases this does allow for a certain amount of coil swapping.

Well, I ordered mine the same time as you guys and dont have an update on tracking either.

Then again I just talked to Scotty yesterday and notice the RE of the BL is 3.0 ohms on the d2, so I decided to switch to D1 with an RE of 1.5ohm per coil.

Just a headz up to the guys who got D2s

Hmmm... I think there is a little confusion on Re/DCR per coil.

The D2 coils are 1.5 Ohms DCR and the D1 coils are .75 Ohms DCR as standard. The specs were measured with the coils in series... hence 3.0 on the D2.

Normally I put how they were measured... but it seems I forgot when this was posted to our forum. Specs on the site will be individual coil DCR like normal... Sorry if I confused you.

Well different motors obviously.... The options are teh same, they machine it a certain way to allow for better cooling.
