fi-q 12... or 2 cvx

narrowed down to 2 cvx 12's sealed or 1 12 fi-q ported 32..

music type.. hard rock (ie: marilyn manson) and also rap.

i have a mono 1000w ppi coming..

these will be firing forward in a crew cab truck:eyebrow:

mind you i have never had kicker or the fi and have only heard a l7 15 underpowered.

personally i would go for the cvxs the extra surface area along with them being sealed will give you a very tight clean sounding bass, while still getting pretty loud.

Cvx's!!!! FIs are great subs..........but CVXs would sound better in a truck

Never heard the cvxs before, but I have an Fi Q in a trunk and not overly impressed. It gets loud, but if you are doubling the cone area then I would hit up the cvx's.

CVX's in a sealed? I would go with 12'' Fi Q in a correctly built box tuned to 32 hertz with recommended vol. If you listen to a lot of rock don't go with the cvx's, heard them sealed and they seem like one note wonders. To the dude with the fi q, I don't know whats wrong with your sub or set up but, had mines in a sealed @ 1.1 and 1.6 they sounded smooth and flat with a nice punch to them. Also a lot peeps with Q's give an impression of them with out breaking in the suspension first.

my friend has a cvx sealed in a trunk, also listens to rock, and he says it sounds great, i havent personally heard it but i think its goin on an orion amp, so yea i would say cvx's
