Anyone on this forums interested more on SQ than SPL?

As the title says, how many of you guys/girls are interest more on the sound rather than the bass and the boom?

I've noticed that the more I search info in English speaking or American car audio forums the more I end up reading stuff about more bass and boom. Not that I don't like the booming bass. I'm just wondering why?

I can't say I have an SQ system right now, or really an SPL system for that matter, but my next car is definitely going to be 100% SQ

I always like challenges and learning about stuff and it seems like SQ is much more involved than SPL. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying SPL is easy, but it's pretty straightforward.

It took me a minute to realize you mean mid 20's age-wise. I thought you meant mid 1920s...made no sense...
