Dude, you use particle board for your boxes!!! You should never use particle board for boxes, maybe for amp racks and fake floors, but thats about it. No offense dude, the boxes look decent, just use MDF instead.

ya, my first board was made of particle board, i have enough left over for my new box and i said f*ck that im buyin 3/4" MDF!

When I have built my own I used smart board.

Its wieghs about 96 lbs a sheet of 46 1/2" by 81 1/2"

so it heavier than 1" mdf by like 20 lbs a sheet lol

Its also a crap load more expensive though

44 bucks a sheet but i can get it free. thas wat every audio shop around here uses to build boxes. i have never had any complaints at all. i can build them outta mdf but that stuff cost bout 35 a sheet round here, instead of 11 like particle board

Well if every car audio shop told you fosgate was the best would you believe them? Sorry, had to add my sarcasm.

Try useing MDF and see the diffrence on a meter. If there is none, then shoot out the MDF.. but with MDF there is so much extra you can do...

Where the hell do you buy MDF?? By me it's at most $20 for a 4'x8' sheet. I wouldn't pay $35 either, but there seriously is a difference.

Then you really don't know where to look. Rockford can actually be pretty expensive compared to other brands that can perform the same as, if not better, than rockford. Not to say that rockford is bad, but there is alot more out there for the money.
