Anyone live around Ann Arbor, MI?

The city Texas AM is in (where I go now) has a population of about 60k. And even though it's a large school, the town doesn't offer too much to the students in terms of entertainment and things to do. It's almost like if you don't have something planned to do, there isn't anything to do.

Read an article recently and Ann Arbor ranked in the top 10 among college towns and was top 10 for single people. You are also fairly close to Detroit where you got casinos, bars and hookers. Personally I wouldn't pick a school based on bars but that is just me. Michigan however is ranked as the top 1 or 2 public school in the country and 24th overall and the business program is ranked third in the country so it is one of the better academic schools in the country. Population of Ann Arbor is about 100k, but you are pretty close to Detroit. Ann Arbor has consistently ranked as among the best places to live. The downside is Michigan is one of the most expensive public schools in the country, especially for out of state, but it is also one of the best academically.

The money isn't the factor for me, I'm willing to take out however many loans I need, no matter how much the cost. I'm just going to get the best education I can get, as my major and job placement will take care of the loan payments. As far as schooling, I've got it down to transferring to either Michigan or UT-Austin. Both offer GREAT public educations, and are both in the top 10 in business schools. It just seems to me that, where I get my degree would influence where I get hired. What I mean is a degree from Michigan wouldn't be as influential in Texas, as a degree from UT would be. The only factor that keeps from just saying "I'm going to Texas," is the level of education and opportunity that would open up to me if I went to Michigan.

UT is a great school and Austin is tight as hell with plenty of shit to do.

My cousin is currently going to Michigan, and he won't graduate till May and has already got a job offer for a financial firm in either Phoenix, Chicago, or Boston. Employers do recruit Michigan from out of state.

He'll be getting a bachelor's in business administration.

Why are you guys calling it A2? And I'd be going for my MBA right after I get my BBA, so that's encouraging to hear about the recruiting that's going on. I don't know though, I really need to visit the school...I just don't know when I could.
