Being AF I can tell you that we are out there putting our life on the line just like all the other branches. Maybe not as much as the others, but many friends and family(including my wife) are over in Iraq as we speak/post.

I understand... However as you know, our fight against Communism didn't turn out very well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif We are repeating history in hopes to change the outcome... We cannot police a world that does not desire our services. Combatting terrorism needs to be a world wide effort... We cannot do it alone, and right now we do not have the support we need to get the job done.

With all that being said, I hope for a positive outcome in Iraq... It just doesn't seem likely. The United States is not prepared for another Vietnam. Don't you agree?

Vietnam, and I suspect Iraq, will be lost because the civilians have no stomach for war. Not to mention about 2/3rds of the population buys everything they see on TV hook line and sinker... If the media wasn't completely staffed with staunch anti-war activists, and our politicians weren't so terribly worthless, both wars could have, and would be easily won.

As for the world-wide effort it won't happen... too many countries have their fingers in the oil pools of terrorist states to get any real worldwide effort. France, Russia, and China all deal with terrorist states on a regular basis for their financial needs (oil in the case of France and China, arms sales for Russia).

conservatives are the reason its so cold in the winter and so hot in the summer. Liberals want to make it 70 degrees year round, but the GOP just wont let it happen.
