Anyone know who they're voting for in 2008?

You weren't following the conversation i was having with gymway very well.
The statements you made have nothing to do with what i said in response to this

I was not commenting on the creation of wealth. I was commenting on his using public resources to achieve success, then not wanting to pay taxes.
Well yes, that's stupid... taxes happen but I understand trying to minimize your tax when for certain people in the 200k/year and up crowd that end up paying 50% taxes... that is absolutely ridiculous, and I support their attempts to minimize that tax...

as for not following the conversation well, I'm guilty, I left for the day and was 5 pages behind...

No one likes paying taxes, but everyone loves government handouts.

Tax cuts for the rich investor class is pretty much the same thing as a handout isn't it?? In my opinion it is.

Is that your rebuttal? Explain to me why you think I am wrong.
He most likely won't. He's a rich elitist and the only gov't he believes in is where the rich get richer while the middle class picks up the tab. Anti-blue collar is what his kind pretty much is. John Edwards pretty much stands against that and therefore he doesn't like him. Even though the rebublicans will put up another simpleton puppet to run on their ticket once again.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

A) Why have tax cuts - well you can have them just for the priciple of it, but most tax cuts, including Bush's tax cuts, are for stimulating the economy. Now how exactly would cutting taxes for the poorest make any difference, considering they DON'T PAY ANY TAXES... The idea is you give the top 10% an X% cut in taxes they'll run out and spend it... which the DO... it doesn't mean they just horde it... this spending boosts the economy and the purpose is served...
Ronald Reagan tried that BS too and he called it "trickle down economics". It failed miserably, atleast for everyone other than the rich. His tax cuts were so messed up that he was borrowing money from Social Security for the "everyday" operation of our gov't. The fact is that these people who get the tax cuts do not run out and spend it, or atleast not fast enough for it to make ANY difference on the economy. I'm not stupid, I know what that plan was SUPPOSED to do. But it's clear that is NOT working and they need to start paying their "FAIR SHARE" of taxes once again. And when the dems take back the white house that will be the first order of business.
