Anyone know the Xmas/Xmec of a L7

Unless you for some odd reason enjoy distortion, there's really no reason to exceed Xmax. In a ported enclosure, this will rarily happen with music anyways (unless you drop below tuning).

From what Polecat has said, the Xmax is a little underrated on the L7's too.

and in the right ported box, the woofer won't be playing at full Xmax anyways...
If I go anywhere over 2.5cubes tuned to 33-35hz and 1000watts (800 at most)its over the Xmax in the 45-55 range(winisp).............I can tune higher and its OK but its for a daily so I want a lil flater/less peaky sound to it.

I want it to slam but have good quality and spl..............

So what size ported box do I need and tuned to what to handle some 1000 watt hits:up2somet:

i wouldn't design specifically to make a speaker bottom out...

in a "push it to the limits" scenario, i have had mine well over 2" p2p w/o bottoming.

however, i can't seem to make them move more than 10~11mm in the van.... talk about an effcient design:crazy:
