Anyone know of a 150 decibel, 10 second car??

turbos don't whine, they whistle. You must not have ever heard a supercharged car if you think they sound even remotely like a turbo car.

I'm well aware my car whistle(shwoosh) sound and a supercharger wines. Superchargers also wine the whole rpm range were my were my turbo don't start to get crazy until 3kish rmps.

I just like to throw around that my 4-banger hangs with built v8s.

You are correct that in the very late 60's and early 70's the factory underrated HP numbers for insurance reasons. But not many were realistically in the 500+hp range, even after factoring in the underrating. Again, the LS7 was the highest HP engine GM produced in that era, and the real-world tests Ive seen put it in the 550hp range. Not many other 454's in that era had the huge closed chambered heads, headers, etc that the LS7 did, so I doubt many approached it in real world power.

GM didn't "produce" the LS7 as far as I am concerned though, it never went into a production vehicle and was only offered as a crate engine a few years later. It was only "rated" for 15hp more than the LS6 and I THINK the only real change was the intake manifold. I am a ford guy so I could be a little off on some of this but I am pretty sure I got it right for the most part.

not to mention a first gen 455 motor has Output ranging from 275 to 400 hp.says wikipedia.

Its a deuce and a half ( 2 1/2 ton) B body, lol. I think its pretty good for a reliable driver. Wonder how reliable mr eclipses ricepile is? The motor has around 40k grandma miles on it. When i got it the secondary barrels were stuck closed with carbon because they had never been opened it looked like. Its a tight motor, but still i went through it and replaced everything really wear prone before i put it in my car.

Who's mustang is that? I've been in a Mustang that did the exact same numbers as that but it had no engine when I listened to it.
