Anyone know how to change ps3 NAT type

well ive been trying all day to change the NAT type on my ps3 to type 2 instead of type 3, so i followed some online instructions, but when i went to change the Router settings i got completely lost.. anyone know how to do this?

My router & modem are on the other side of the house and I'm far too lazy to install the wiring...

Yeah.

First what you do is write down the IP, subnet mask, and DNS servers your ps3 is getting via dhcp. (Just look at it's settings right now and see what they are and write them down.)

Now change from automatic configuration to manual and put those settings in.

Test that you have a connection to the internet.

Now log in to your router. Find where it says "DMZ" or "demilitarized zone". It will want to know the hosts ip address. Enter the ip address of your ps3. Click apply. You're all done. Go run your test on your ps3 and it will have the nat type you want.

Cuz he's lagging because it's ps3 and if you have unrestricted NAT you can host games and we all know the host doesn't lag.

Yeah that's all you need.

Since your router and ps3 have to be on the same subnet to communicate, the last octet is all that matters in the IP address. Just change the last 3 there to the last 3 of your ps3's IP. Now LOOKY!!! You have the same IP in both places and you have unrestricted nat.
