anyone know anything about powermaster HO alt's?

i got a 97 mustang gt and im running a kicker zx1500.1 and a zx350.4 and i got really bad voltage drop below 12, lights dimm bad. got a yellow top and big 3. would a 200 amp alt be good?

Well, thats a good question.

I believe they recommend summit or jegs for regular purchasing. He may be able to sell to you directly, but honestly I have no idea.

I had one on my bronco and currently have one on my ext cab truck. the one for my chevy came to me clocked wrong, although pretty easy fix. Am getting a 200 amp one soon as 140 amps isnt enough with 2 EQ PHD-5000ws //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ( had a different system when I bought the 140 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif )

Voltage on my 140 currently when cold ( it is winter here) today was like 15.4- 15.5 for the first 10 mins, other wise idling in park is about 14.3 in drive ( my truck idles at like 450-500 rpm for some reason) its like 13.5 I need a slightly smaller pulley as it only shifts at 4k rpm max anyhow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The one on the bronco had a good sized pulley for its idle speed at 750 rpm, and when playing test tones in my truck with my 1100D in 1 ohm going to my 12" it only dropped around 0.46v using 4 gauge cable for big 3 and amp power/grounds, no cap. measured at battery and at amp power input.

Got my 200 amp one in tonight, came at 124 @ idle and 236 at 6k rpm. ( like 2k engine rpm)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

the 140 that was on my truck was 92 @ idle and 157 at 6k rpm, ( again 2k rpm on engine)
