Anyone know about PayPal ( I have a question )

Awile back, mabey.. 2 weeks ago i sold somebody something for $440, got his money, went into the account, and i later used most of it, still had $280something in it, anyway... he reported me for some bullshit becuase i didnt send it out fast enough (he wanted it within a couple days.. witch would have been insanely expensive being over 50 pounds...) Anyway, it took to long to ship it for him, and he filed a claim... i went into my paypal to find this, says my account is temporarly on hold.. bla bla bla, anyway... I am now -$180some, $180 + the $280 i already head would equal his $440... Im already -$180, and its still wanting me to give him a full refund, what the ****.. it already took the money out.. ( i didnt have the $440 so now its -$180 ) wtf... it still wants me to send him the money, when it already took it out basicly, i clicked on that option, and it wants me to send him $440 from my bank account (obviously becuase its not im my paypal since they arleady took $440 out.. )

If i put in $180some to get it back in the positive will it fix this, or what.. i have 10 days to do something, but its bullshit, they want me to give him $440 when its already gone... for a total of $880...

I couldnt get it shipped out fast enough for him, i needed air bags, etc for the shipment of this 50+ pound thing, he said just forget about it, wanted his cash back, said it would take 3-5 days becuase i needed to transfer cash from my bak account to the paypal account, he wouldnt have this.. and filed the claim...

I went through the same thing this winter when UPS broke a $1,200 water craft engine. The guy who bought my engine put a hold on my account buy that time I had 400.00 already spent. So I had to keep on selling untill pay pal had the full ammount. then I was free to use my account again. Then I resolved the issue with the buyer. the best way to settle these things is with the buyer. egay and paypal take too freakin long. I ended up spliting the difference of the parts with the seller . So it only cost me about 150.00. ups sucks balls and would not do shit about their fvck up.

Ok, ive been trying to get ahold of the guy i sold this to on aim, email.. for about a day now, ever since i found this hold on my account, no luck yet, im going to call paypal tomorrow after work and see wtf is up here, its not right they already took $440 out of my account, and are still asking me to pay him back the cash....

im surprised they took money out of your account so promptly, especially if it was done outside of ebay..

If i understand this correct, you only had $280 in your pay pal account so you still owe $180 to ballance it out.

Good example of why online transactions can sometimes ****. I think you're kind of at fault here, though.

First of all, if you're selling something that expensive (actually if you're selling anything at all), have it READY to ship BEFORE you make a sale. Have your shipping prices & quotes from ups.com, usps.com, fedex.com or whatever good and ready for your buyer. You did everything *** backwards and obviously the buyer is going to be pissed.

As far as this claim and all that jibber jabber, did he send you your product back, or did you never send it to him? You deserve your product back before you offer any kind of refund.

The rest is quite simple. You have 10 days? Well, if the $440 was takin from somewhere else, tell them that. Prove it with whatever documentation. But also demand your product back, in the condition it left in, before you pay your customer.
