anyone into R/C?

I think I would do the same... in EITHER circumstance. Money has become pretty tight, which I am not used to around here... so that kind of money into a plane that died... would kill me... at least for a moment or two. Now... if my car audio blew at all... well I would have to kill someone... and that would be the end of that! LOL
*side note:... what part of Louisiana are you from? I am originally from Nawlins, but am up in WI now
im down here in Houma pretty boring haha

LOL yeah a bit... but not too bad. I used to go out to Houma on occasion for Competitions (Back in 1994-96)... been a long while now that I think on it.. **** I feel old!

The .26 was about equal to the .15...fair amount of torque. If you go with a 4-stroke, get the O.S. .40...thing is insane.
I dont think I would want a 4-stroke in a car. Unless maybe a big car. What type of fuel does the 4-stroke use and what kind of fuel efficiency did it have?

Have a Traxxas electric Stampede, Associated T3, and a Savage 21. Savage was $400. About $500 in upgrades later, they release a new version for the same price that includes everything I just upgraded. I'm pissed. It's good that the vehicles are getting better, but I just made a $900 truck that is exactly the same as the newer $400 truck. Errgghh. This hobby is draining too much of my money. Replacement parts and fuel are the only things I'll buy from now on.

off topic: youd be surprised how much houma has grown...just in the last 5 years we got everything from best buy to petco and we have a sams building up...it crazy how fast everything has moved down here

dammnnn thats a bad *** boat...183...jesus christ
hey guys, ive decided to take the leap to trucks http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGZD9** is that a good one? whats the first thing that will break? haha
that truck is ok, but i would recomend the hpi savage ss 4.6 or savage 25 rtr or any savage. if you want some more help, join this forum BYT . really nice people, very helpful. i am T-to-the-MAXX on that forum.

I got the Prather 30CC HP engine Homelite. Not very reliable at all. I've had to send it in twice for repairs if my memory serves correct. First the head clogged up, 2nd the head cracked and no I wasn't running it lean, It always had a slight brown on the spark plug.
BH Hanson makes excellent zenoah engines at a good price that put out good power. Would get one except I've become pretty cheap. I spend most of my money on college, insurance, gas registeration and try to save for a downpayment on a house which realistically isn't possible in my area with housing prices (I'd have to save over $50k) but something is better than nothing.
im surprised to hear it isnt reliable, on that motor my dad has the high compression water cooled cyliner, water pump, big carb, water cooled tuned pipe and header, and we deleted the clutch cus its the only thing that went bad on the boat, but the motor has never stalled once..the new paint job on it is pretty sick too ill see if i can snap some pics soon. Too bad he wont be able to keep up with my hydro //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yeah, it might have had something to do with the temperature. It was running in 95+ degree temps. I also has a water pump, big carb, heat dam between carb and high compression head and a water cooled tuned exhaust. If I were you I'd go either zenoah or nitro with your boat. Homelite engines are too heavy.

I am, I fly a Tower Hobbies Tower Trainer 60 MKII ARF with a O.S. .65 LA engine, nothing like having $500 and countless hours of work flying at your command...simply addicting hobby!
I'm also looking to get into off-road R/C trucks but not sure what to get
the traxxas rustler>*

i'm looking to sell mine, has about 700 in it, not counting the car itself. tops out at over 60 mph. 0-60 in around 4 or so. tis great car.
