anyone into R/C?

I have a buddy that is kinda heavy into RC cars/trucks. I just recently got into it. Boughty myself a semi-old school Associated RC10T electric truck.

They are fun as hell.....but the last thing I need is another expensive hobby //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif So right now I keep my RC spending pretty limited.

I am, I fly a Tower Hobbies Tower Trainer 60 MKII ARF with a O.S. .65 LA engine, nothing like having $500 and countless hours of work flying at your command...simply addicting hobby!
I'm also looking to get into off-road R/C trucks but not sure what to get

Get a Team Associated T4 or whatever LOSI has now. I have a T2 and it's still running. I've had it for around 10 years.

Team Associated is definitely a good choice, I have a T3 myself but I haven't worked on it or really drove it in a year, I just don't have time now. I wish I could do more with it, but it costs $$ to uprgade and whatnot.

*edit* **** you guys just got me thinking about this hobby again... I wish summer would hurry up and get here so I can go out and tinker with my truck. stupid college.

im getting out of cars.

I sold my clodzilla III to buy my HU

My Kyosho DX-II is still in the garage

My original RC10 is in my closet.

It's a cool hobby, but nothing beats driving over meduim [or small] sized rocks in one's real truck

hehe, someone hit my dad almost head on (at low speed) as he was pulling out of a parking lot of a friends aparment complex. this lady who lived right by the exit always came in the wrong way and wasnt paying attention. well to make a long story short, he ended up on top of her subaru's hood halfway ont he windshield, he husband came out and called her an idiot for being lazy and coming in the wrong way, and the never called my dads insurance. not a thing wrong with my truck either.

I had a Tamiya TL01 electric car and spent $700 on parts for it....then I sold it. It was fun to drive, but it IS an expensive hobby.....I was recently thinking of buying the new Traxxas Jato or Revo....but those are pretty expensive and it will be hard to manage two expensive hobbies...

Before I sold my car me and 4 other friends used to race for money on my street....it was a lot of fun, but my attention turned to car audio now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

a, nothing better than a little nitro R/C car to torment your neighbors dog //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

three guys on my street have nitro cars and trucks AND dogs...lol, so they chase the dogs like crazy. its pure jkz

no boat guys here?

im in the process of finishing a 43" Miller American hydroplane with a .60 OPS nitro engine thats rated at 5hp @around 30,000 rpm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

my dad has a 46" prather gas boat thats quite modified, we also have a nitro powered F-15, a trainer plane, misc small boats, a couple cars, and a heli that i decided to take apart when i was like 11 and has been like that since.

i had a duratrax max ST that we cut all metal gears on the cnc for the ******, that thing was a blast even tho it only did like 25

Actual minature turbine engines are quite cool...it's amazing to see the amount of work some guys put into them, and how much like the real thing they are to operate //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i know a guy with a foam f-18 fighter jet turbine powered that does like 200mph or somthing out of control

now strap a turbine to a hydro and then see some serious speeds on the water //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
