anyone here got this TV? Vizio SV420XVT

I still like my Westinghouse better than any Vizio TV, which is in my bedroom.

I know a bar down the stree that has like 6 Vizio's in there and we were shooting the shit one day and just asked him how he likes his Vizio TV's and he says he loves the picture, but he hates having to send them back time after time. He said as soon as he gets one fixed then another one takes a shit. He is thinking of going the Philips route, but told him he miles well stay with what he has.

Overall I like my Sony Bravia XBR5 46" (The main TV in the living room) better than any of them, but was way too much when I picked it up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

It works for what it is. After some tweaking after the abysmal factory sets, they put out a nice picture. No one I play games or watch movies with can tell a difference.

Next route I'll go bigger and better, but meh.

I cant Identify the tvs at my walmart, their tags dont have model numbers. Previously I was looking at the VO26L, they had that one on their site. I wish I could afford a bigger one like the OP or even a projector.

OP, have you looked into Westinghouse? I heard they were pretty good. Not to say you havnt but just another affordable option.. but I dont know anyone that has one. Another reason (for me) to go Vizio.

I have an older Westinghouse.......well older like 2 years compared to my 1 year old Sony.

Love it! Only had 1 problem........ok 2 problems with it. I had to shut it down from the surge protector as it would put out sound, but no picture, but was fine when I shut it all down and back on.

Then I get this resolution line in it from time to time. To get rid of it, I have to switch to a different setting and back and is fine. Usually when I record something and happens more on the HD channels. Oh and the remote is cheap.

Besides that, has been a gem and well worth my 800 dollars.

I actually like the HD pic on it better than my Sony. Could be that it is smaller, I don't know, but seems to look as good as my Sony if not better, but don't have the blacks my Sony does.

it was 120hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I'd give that a read before buying a LCD panel. You pay more now for a well known brand (like sony, samsung, etc.)...but if it breaks out of warranty, it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper to fix.
thanks

i picked up a 42" phillips @ sams club on friday for $800... does 1080p, 29,000: contrast ratio, 4 HDMI inputs... the works

I m afraid that you got the information mixed up..

I just checked out the Sams Club website and here is what I found..

your TV is 60 hz, not 120hz since you said you got it got $800, that is for the TV with 1080p and 60 hz

http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=412731&pCatg=5883

and now here is the one with 1080p and 120 hz.. which is $1,100..

r u sure that you got the 120hz TV for 800? I suppose that you got the 60hz.. (42" 1080p/120hz TV for $800 is going to **** the company lol)
