Anyone have Volfenhag subs?

Well I am not any sort of audio freak, I am just looking for some good bass.

I know Volfenhags are not the best, however, they have held up for me even with one having a bad voice coil. Plus, its not like my amp can destroy them so why spend more money when the current setup is working just fine,minus the bad voice coil.

I know they get destroyed easily, however, I have heard that these ones http://www.gooddeals18.com/product/ZX4812DVX/Volfenhag_zx48120vx_12_1000_watt_Subwoofer_w_Grill.html are EXTREMELY durable compared the the version I have and can take some serious power. Has anyone ever experienced these?

And should I stick with two subs or go to one? I dont know if my amp will like powering just one as I think it will go to 4ohms.

Yez-zer... Could go with RE Audio RE-SR-SE, with the RE line being the cheapest. Alpine type R, Fosgate, Kicker (I wouldnt but).

Checkout the classifieds & see whats going on. I'll send ya a PM with a link to a site that carries RE @ good prices, I would go with those over the others I mentioned...

If your going to be cheap, get some Crunch ground pounder gear. You'll think you were crazy for ever buying the wolfs(or whatever) after that. 2 GP 12"s and a GP2500 would set you right.

Thanks for the suggestions/links everyone.

I'll be doing quite a bit of research as I am not in a rush to get new subwoofers. Though I am surprised at how many there are that are in a comparable price range that you guys recommend. Sounds good to me.

I have heard them and they do get loud. But They dont hold up for to long...

That's true.... for substandard subs, they get pretty loud.
