Anyone have real experience with RE subs over the last 5 or 6 years?

RE was a big deal around 2003 when they were small. I know that they have gotten big etc other than that do their subs sound worse than they used to or more issues? Just curious what everyone's opinion or experience with RE's newer subs has been. Maybe they were just a forum boner and when the general public started to buy them and the internet sales started people had lost their interest. I had one of the first models of the SE back then and it was a good sub for the money. I have had many many subs since then but it seems like ppl on the forums despise them.

When I started on car audio the big thing was re xxxx on a snailshell. Re isn't what it used to be. I've own from a 15' Se, 12sx, 4 05 RE XXX and a few MT's. If I was in the market I'd only buy the MT's.

I installed an SE in my girlfriends car many years ago..and I ran MT's in my truck at the same time. The SE and MT's were awesome..but now that I'm in the market again, MT's are scarce and I haven't heard a single positive thing about any of their 'redesigned' subs. So I've gone a different route with my build.

The RE forum boner is long gone...
