Subwoofers for 2200 watts ?

I'm upgrading my electrical in the next couple of months (Aftermarket alternator, XS D3400 under the hood, big 3 wiring) and I plan on running the Soundqubed 2200D amp

My trunk has bout 5.5 cubic feet to work with in terms of box (box guy measure it and said 5-5.5 should be easy ).

What subs should I be eyeballing ? I want something thats more SQ but can rattle my head/windshield if I desire.

Someone told me Dual SSA Icon 12s should give me the SQ I desire and the raw output as well

For budget $700 or under (although I would like to keep it around $550).

For single 15 inch I was recommended DSS Ethos 15, AA Mayhem 15, SSA ZCON 15 (The ethos looked like a huge value, a 70lb SQ sub for $350).

I might be lowballing my trunk space. These are the dimensions I have to work with (H: 17.5 W: 37 D: 30).

I'm looking for something that offers good sound but can rattle my entire car (I've heard two 12s with similar efficiency/brand would technically offer more output than a 15 which is why I was looking at dual Icons).

Thanks to all that replied (first day on the forum !)

I would do the AA Mayhem or even a IA Death Row 15"
These have been mentioned to me as well (I'll favorite both of them on by browser)
Would you be able to wait a while?
Dual SI Mag V3's would be way under budget and have a great reputation as a SQ driver. 1000 rms per sub.
I'm planning on doing electrical in March/April and hopefully have the subs in my car in June (I have about 3 months to play with)
Why not 2 SQ HDS300 12's? They only need 2.5 cubes per sub.
Like the soundqubed amps but not a huge fan of there subwoofers (output is great but I want a little more SQ). There not bad sounding but I've been told I can do similar output while sounding noticeable better

Update: Replied to everyone from my last post onwards.

I don't have dedicated mids (running a pair of Ground Zero Uranium 6.5s in the front Uranium GZUC 650SQ ) so I need a sub that wouldn't bottom out (for example I was looking at sundown X series subs but they bottom out in the mid to upper bass area which would cause too much of a gap from my components to the sub).

I'm looking for something that has good bass across the whole spectrum (upper 20s to 60-70hz range) but can still give me the raw output to rattle my brain and windshield.

Thank You guys for the post (the more input the better !).

ssa Xcon or Zcon man. Those subs reach up high and slam down low. Tune 33-35hz with lots of port area and it should play flat while getting nutty loud. Really enjoyed my old Zcon 12 for metal. However Zcons like their boxes big, you might want to go with an xcon 15 instead to get optimal room with bracing port area etc..

DSS ethos is a good choice too, it can take waaaay more power than a 2200 watt amp though, in fact you might want two strapped for one.

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking about switching the soundqubed 2200 with the sundown 2000D (not sure if its worth the 80 extra bucks).

Another option i'm looking at is the sundown Zv4 15 with the SPL cone (better suited for daily driving than stock Z cone).

So many good options out there (head is going to explode !)

Are you only looking at new drivers?

If not then check out the Crystal 15" I have posted on here.

I ran it sealed in my home theater, but it really shines in a vented enclosure.

keep the amp, you wont notice crap between them, its just wasting money.
