anyone have problems with connecting to xbox live right now

I've been unable to connect to xbox live today, My internet and connection is perfect... Just would not connect to xbox live..

So just wanted to know if anybody else is experiencing the same problem?

they're having problems with their servers, due to all of the new members from christmas. i think this is day 5 that xbox live has been "down." not everybody is having problems, but about 90% of people are unable to get on, and if they can they get kicked out of games and stuff.

yea it got flooded from christmas and they need to add more servers.

you would think microsoft being the great company it is would have seen this coming and updated and added new servers like a month or so before christmas.

seems as if they have a tendancy to push the limits on things like this.

i stopped looking for answers. most of them are annoying little kids who aren't even paying for it themselves anyway. it's pretty much a bunch of useless arguing about how everyone should shut up because everyone is right. but if i were you, i would check maybe every day before you wake up to see if it's back up or not. when it goes back up there will probably be a sticky. or you can always check this website through xbox, and it tells you the status of xboxlive, but it doesn't give reasons, or dates it would be fixed.

if you look at this link, in the upper right hand corner there is a box that says the status of xbox live.

I have mainly been fine when I was in texas. There was quite a few times these last few days when it would be hell signing on and getting the games up but once the games would come up I would just play with the same people over and over and it was fine, no disconnecting me or nothing..

About a month or two ago though when I was playing I had problems with it disconnecting me from a game all the time, talked to my cable provider and called them as soon as I had the problem and they said it was with the xbox.

Good luck I just got back to bama and am going to hook her back up hope all goes well.
