Lots... depends on the setup. I've seen old-hat 8L7 hit 142db on the old mic under 800W RMS. The box was ported and tuned at 48Hz.

the number will also be influnced HUGELY by the meter, HOW you are metering, and if you are walled, street, or extreme interior....

On the hardest mic in the world (TL pressure sensor) im doing a legal (that means the car is SEALED up, engine off, and meter on the dash, db drag style) 151.6 @ 43hz.

iirc 14th in the country in my class...but im still quiet!

From reading dB charts, pain begins to kick in at 130+ dB... If i have all my windows up, and the system at full blast, my ears start hurting... So im gonna say at least 130+dB....

do u have a kenwood x811d by any chance? and 130 isnt saying much i think eveyrones set up is at least 130 db's

Gonna have to let you know that there is no way you are hitting 130+ with that box and while playing music, not burping them. VERY wrong there buddy. For a DD, 130dB's is an awsome number, (again, for a DD.) Most DD wouldnt make it over 100dB's...

Umm, i've seen COMPLETELY stock car stereos hit 120+ dB's.....

Even completely crappy setups are capable of 130+

Are you kidding me? I know a few kids with shitty DD set ups that have been metered at Sound America (local shop), and they are no where near 120.

Maybe I am overesitmating how loud 130dB's actually is?

hell , I hit 138.8 and I have no idea what I'm doing...but I;m learning. Wish all this info was in a book somewhere.
