Well it is the time for me to get a new amp finally and get the 15" L7 moving again.

I miss my old BX1500D since it got waterlogged and the internals were on their last limb.

So has anyone had any luck with Hifonics or are they being faulty.

Also would 2000rms daily be okay for my L7? Its the brand new 06' version.

I'm just worried cause my box is big. 4.5cu ft @ 32hz.

I hear plenty good things about Hifonics....good, solid amps if you ask me, and 2000 daily...i wouldn't, ported...more like 1200 daily.

oh like you would know....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

each one hooked up to a 12" L7 @ 1ohm BTW

and i say go ahead and get the 2000 model... people say they are overrated anyways and it would be better to have a little more juice than not enough ya kno

Well I was looking online lastnight and I found a Hifonics BXi 1606D that would seem perfect for the condition. Since they are a lil overrated (my BX1500 was) I think 1600rms would be around 1300-1400~rms.

Plus its 289 where I wanna get it from. Seems pretty cheap and I can afford that, I am going to college so I need to go a lil lower of a line but I just want something that will hold up for awhile untill I can get into US amps..

Plus I'm still planning on another 15" L7 cause I love these things. Oh and Hi Polecat =), hows business been?

Got a BX2005D. Bad *** amp. Very good quality and options. Excepts 0 guage. Puts out solid power and never had a problem with it. Went into protect a couple times in 90 Degree+ weather, but I had it sufficated behind my back seat with no air getting to it. It's a tad over rated, but still puts out plenty of power, especially for the money. I'd bag another one in a heart beat.

Teammates been running 4 of the 1606s at .7ohms and has had no problems with them.

He drives his car daily and hasn't had a problem since he got them like 2-3 months ago.

i had 2 hifonics both served me well. one connected to 2 crystal cmp 8s in a double shot and a one(bxi2006) connected to a uber 15 in a snail shell. man did that pound //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
