Anyone have GOOD luck with hifonics?

ask ctminime what he thought of his bx1000d on both his rl-p's when he had them...i swear that amp was magic...

there's a biweekly "is hifonics good?" thread, and there's never any data to back it up one way or the other

There like 30 posts of Hifonics users saying how much they like their amps and how good they perform. Thats not good enough for you?

i was doin quite a bit of research the past month or two for a good mono amp for my subs, and everyone kept referring me to the hifonics herc. My BX1205D was a Solid amp, may not have done exactly rated power but it was PLENTY and darn near to it. Compareable to eD's NINe.1 IMO. It never got too hot and never shut down on me. Pushed my Avalanche 18 like a champ for almost a year then I sold it and last time I talked to the guy it was still trucking along just fine so that is almost 2 years of use on a $200 1200w amp.

Most of the problems with the Brutus series that I have seen where pre 05. In 05 they revamped the internals and in 06 they revamped the entire amplifier. I have not had any problems with my GF's ZX4400 a ALL. It is a great amp for $150 or w/e I paid for it. The XX series are just beasts.

i don't know if the bxi1606d is going to be the same, but with my bx1605d the gain had to be turned up almost 3/4 the way for it to hit like i wanted

so don't be freaked out like i was thinking its not working with the gain all the way down when i first installed it

other than that, great makers of amps

and yes under rated, but thats becuase i'm only getting 12.6v on the hits, hopefully that will change when i get my volts up
