Might be getting this to power a set of cdt components. I think mb quart is a decent company but i cant find a SINGLE review on this amp ANYWEHRE. I really want it tho. Its in my price range (200-250) and it would match my mb quart onx i got on my sub perfectly. Then i could get some red power and ground wire since both amps light up red lol. anyways here it is. Give opiniong/experiences and if ***** then tell me what i should be looking at for 200-250

Quart is good but it is made by Maxxsonics (aka Hifonics / Crunch, etc.)

A lot of people seem to like the Precision Power PPI P900.4 which is only $199 @ sonic and is more efficient.

Check out the reviews for what they are worth.

PPI is a really good company.

I understand wanting to match amps. The one you linked is probably good. It's not so cheap to make one worry about it making rated power. We sell Precision Power and it won't ship from the other coast, so you'd get it faster.

Id go with the PPI if you ask me, i have a friedn who has an mbquart and has problems with crossover, if i am not mistaken the PPI has a better crossover too.

you can't really go wrong with mb quart amps. They're pretty solid for the price

I missed the part on wanting to match a current amp. my bad.

That said, I was a MB Quart dealer and never had a problem with any of their amps.

I didn't sell many (I was a JL Audio and Alpine dealer also.)

Just was suggesting a less costly alternative.

I do think that particular Quart is nice with how the controls are on top and all the connections are on one side.

Maxxsonics has continued to keep Quart products on their higher end of product mix and that is why a similar version isn't

offered in the Hifonics, Autotek, Crunch lines.

Many of the Maxxsonics amps are slightly different versions of the same amp to meet a price point under a certain line.

Quart has always been treated differently as it is their high end line.

(If you really look at some of the Autotek and Hifonics amps closely...hard to tell the difference.)

Cool. Well im looking at spending a max of $300 on an amp to power a set of components. I want them to get loud. Looking at some cdt components that are rated to take 175 rms when crossed at 100hz. So i want an amp that puts out 200rms or a little more wont hurt (I like headroom and set gains low) and ill cross em at 120hz seeing as im not one of the people who is real concerned about midbass and all that. So with a max budget of $300, could i get an amp (new) that is noticeably better than the mb quart? I would like to match amps but dont put it over performance. Thanks.

I personally use a JL XD for my mids/highs.

I don't know if you would here any difference between it and the Quart.

Probably only good to spend more to get more watts if you really think you need them.

Scott.
