Antec, Enermax, really there is a big list of good companies. OCZ makes them now. I would say 90% of my pc's have Antec in them. Price to performance is good. Now there are WAY better. But I usually like to pay no more than 120 on a psu. 550 would work with what you have listed, but a 650 would be more of a safe bet. What kind of DVD drive should I get? and what are some name brand power supplies? Will 550W be enough?
Yes, that is a very good model. Also runs 80% efficient. Not modular, but if you can get that kinda power with that high of an efficiency rating, you can manage the cables in a decent case.Is this brand any good?

Pl8er, you know what you're talking about, I'm glad theres another geek on here (and thats not a bad thing, we can run circles around everyone else)
I would say over 600w for that build.
Just put an OCZ in my friends comp. It runs good but its kinda loud.
Your first choice was WAY better. Although some of the big companies will put LED's in the psu, it just seems counter-productive to me. I mean, the point is to produce power for the system and it has to use some for lights.hows this compared to the other i posted

That one or the Antec would be about the same. Both good companies, I'm partial to Antec, but only because I like the cases they make. Here is a 650W one no idea on how good it is though
