Anyone have a non sealed battery in their car?

Just wondering if anyone has been running a non-sealed deep cycle battery inside their car. Its alot cheaper then a sealed one, but i was told it needs to be vented or else i could die.

Any info would be appreciated

not what you want. they emit gasses, and those gasses are combustible. i'd leave them for under hood purposes only. dont put them in a cabin

That's what I was told but I didn't know how bad it would be. I wish I could fit the batt under the hood but there's no room. I guess ill have to not be jewy and buy a sealed batt

ya, i just put a bunch of battery acid in a gallon milk jug and ran the positive wire from the starter through the top and grounded the negative to the gas tank
