Ascendant Audio stopped using the xbl^2 trademark due to Dan's(Adire if you didnt know) comment saying that Adire was the only company that can use the xbl^2 to its full potential, now elighten me here child.

Yes exactly, the mk2 does not just stand for "mark 2" its the new motor they are going to be useing, go read the ascendent page, adire is the one that came up with it, RE, ascendent, and everyone else had to pay royalties to adire for useing it, adire came up with some new technology, and is now switching all their stuff over from the ^2 to the mk2, so everyone else is also... just becuase you didnt read it yourself first doesnt mean people are talking shit... ill go find a quote from the ascendent page...

Here's the scoop on this situation, before I close this worthless thread:

Dan Wiggins came out and basically said that not all drivers using Xbl^2 are the same, and that drivers that use the technology vary. He said a few others things, but that was the gist of it. Chad at AA took offense to Dan's comments, and whether or not the two events had any relation to one another, AA decided to go with a different technology and not incorporate Adire's Xbl^2 technology in their drivers.

Adire has also fully revamped their subwoofer lineup, as well as moved their buildhouse to Chile. That is why their drivers are being reworked.

As far as the XXX, last time I talked to David I forgot to ask him about the supposed revamping of the XXX. I'm sure it has absolutely nothing to do with the above events.
